Micayla and Benjamin’s beautiful Virginia wedding in Palmyra, Virginia was an emotional, love-filled day. The weather was hot, but it was beautifully sunny and the skies were blue with fluffy white clouds. After the morning was spent at Salon Deshano, with Micayla getting her hair and makeup done along with her bridesmaids, she stepped into her wedding dress to head off to her First Look with Benjamin. A wonderful way to start their wedding day, so they could enjoy all the moments together. Their first look took place at Micayla’s grandparent’s home which holds so many memories for Micayla. After seeing each other and taking pictures at the house, we headed back to the salon! Everyone got back into their comfortable clothes and went out to lunch together before getting ready for all the wedding party photos and the bride and groom portrait session. The portrait sessions were so much fun as Jake and I split up to take fun bridesmaid and groomsmen pictures. The girls’ brilliant red dresses and bouquets were gorgeous and everyone looked stunning! One of my favorite parts of the day is always the bride and groom portrait session. Micayla and Benjamin are such a beautiful, sweet couple, and I loved spending time with them taking portraits during their session. The ceremony followed, which was a lovely sentimental services which included readings, prayer, a cross figurine building moment, and a special part where Micayla and Benjamin shared roses with their mothers, a tradition being passed down. After the ceremony was over, everyone drove to celebrate at the reception at Layz S Ranch, a gorgeous Virginia wedding venue which is also were we took the pictures during their portrait session. Dancing, cake cutting, toasts, and a whole lot of fun made up their reception. It was such an amazing wedding day that ended with everyone sending Micayla and Benjamin off with a sparkler exit! Jacob and I love being a part of their special day and photographing it together! Congratulations, Micayla and Benjamin! We wish you a long and happy marriage!
