Lindy and Matt’s country wedding in Virginia was at a small church in the country. Their wedding was so romantic and sentimental! There were so many details throughout the day that were meaningful to them. It made the day that much more special! I’m so excited to share these beautiful highlights from their wedding day. I adored Lindy’s gorgeous lace dress, and her bridesmaids’ dresses which were different floral patterns. On our way to the first look, we stopped to get a couple pictures of Lindy in a pretty field of buttercups with the barn in the background. Matt and Lindy had their first look under the tree that Matt proposed to Lindy under. They are so sweet together, and I love the portraits we got of them on the family’s land, with their cows, and at the old house that’s special to Lindy’s family, too.
Their ceremony was very beautiful as loved ones watched Matt and Lindy become husband and wife in front of the alter of the small country church. One of the most memorable parts of the ceremony was when Lindy’s sister and maid of honor, Karlie, realized during the ceremony that she didn’t have the wedding rings with her. Lindy and Matt continued through their vows as Lindy’s friend and bridesmaid, Kelsey, saved the day by finding where they had been left in the car. She smoothly returned and slipped the rings to Karlie. When their pastor asked, “Who has the rings?” and Karlie held them out, everyone in the church, including Lindy and Matt burst into laughter. It was such a funny moment that everyone loved.
The reception, held in the neighboring church building, was a fun gathering as everyone watched Lindy and her father dance followed by her first dance with Matt. A buffet style dinner including delicious lemon cake and yummy donuts, was accompanied by champagne to celebrate their day. We took some pictures of Lindy and Matt by her grandmother’s grave at the church, where Lindy prayed over their marriage. The day ended with them being surprised by their getaway car, decorated by her brother Lew and friends. There’s no doubt that these two are meant to be together. Their love will surely stand the test of time and bring them happiness for years to come. Congratulations, Matt and Lindy! Jacob and I feel so lucky to have been able to photograph your wonderful country wedding in Virginia, and to be able to call you guys friends. We both wish you a very blessed and happy marriage!!
