This classic country, rustic wedding was a fun filled event from start to finish. A romantic ceremony with singing and prayer was a tender way to start this couple’s marriage journey. The casual, yet formal vibe of the day gave everyone an easy, happy feeling. Stress was almost nonexistent for this beautiful wedding. Despite the warm July weather, there was no lack of joyful energy the whole day. Family was a central part of this wedding, from the cake made by the Groom’s aunt, to the pearls from the Bride’s grandmother worn around her neck. Kate and Dan had many sweet moments together as they celebrated their marriage with the people they love.
The moment when the groom sees the bride for the first time, is almost always the most anticipated moment on the wedding day. After being patient for so long, through months of planning and hard work, the bride walks down the aisle, looking so beautiful. Dan’s face says it all, as his smiles and watches his bride walk towards him to become his wife. It really is a special moment.
Kate and Dan’s reception was beautifully decorated with rustic wedding decorations that fit their casual, country style. Everything from sunflowers to burlap and cowboy boots to wildflowers. With the tall wood beamed ceiling and the long row of windows, their rustic wedding reception was bright and joyful. Complete with dancing and champagne toasts!
Kate requested that the portraits of her and Dan be taken outside at their lovely wedding venue. After the guests had eaten and watched Kate and Dan take their first dance and dance with their parents, we moved outside for their portraits while their guests continued to dance. Taking portraits with Kate and Dan was fun and casual, as I got to simply see them enjoy some time alone together for the first time since they were pronounced husband and wife. I love these portraits, where they soak in the moment and just love each other. They were both so happy and content. I was very honored to be their wedding photographer!
