Casey & Samuel | Wedding at DuPont Chapel and The Woodland Place

Casey and Samuel’s September wedding at Hollins University DuPont Chapel was very beautiful, and ended with a wonderful reception at the Woodland Place in Vinton, Virginia! I’m excited to share these highlights from their perfect wedding day. Casey’s details were so fun to photograph. I love taking pictures of beautiful things, and her detail shots are some of my favorites! Casey’s bridesmaids wore lovely deep red dresses that looked beautiful with their red and white bouquets with eucalyptus leaves. Samuel and his groomsmen also looked so nice in their sharp blue suits and red ties.

Their wedding ceremony was very beautiful as Samuel married Casey in the sanctuary of Hollins University’s DuPont Chapel. Their families and friends witnessed their vows and ring exchange, as well as the special “braiding the three cords” Casey and Samuel did together in reference to
Ecclesiastes 4:12. They ended their ceremony with a prayer and blessing from their pastor and jumping the broomstick. Everyone was so happy to congratulate the newlyweds in their receiving line. After the ceremony and family formals, Jake and I took Samuel and Casey’s romantic couple’s portraits around the grounds at Hollins University. I especially love taking some bridal portraits, and Casey was so stunning.

We then made our way over to the reception venue at The Woodland Place. I absolutely loved how they decided to have a bubble entrance into their reception as an alternative to the popular bubble exit. Everyone cheered and blew bubbles as they were welcomed into their wedding reception. Everyone shared in a brunch style buffet, complete with fried chicken and waffles. They had such a unique guest book, which was actually a recipe book for them to keep where everyone could write special notes and sign any page they wanted. Casey and Samuel spent time with their friends and family, enjoying all of their assorted lawn games. They also had a gorgeous, four-tier wedding cake decorated in beautiful fruits. The day ended with Jake and I taking more couple’s portraits at The Woodland Place, which was so fun and relaxed, since we weren’t rushed in the middle of the day. Casey and Samuel are such an amazing couple, and I truly loved their beautiful September wedding so much. Congratulations, Samuel and Casey!! Jacob and I are so honored that we got to be a part of your amazing wedding day!
